Thorlabs Elliptec® vs. Xeryon CrossFixx™

Thorlabs’ Elliptec® and Xeryon’s CrossFixx resonant piezo motors both offer compact, lightweight motion solutions based on piezoelectric drive principles and are commonly used in optical setups, microscopy, and automation tasks. While Elliptec motors are well-suited for entry-level applications with moderate speed and precision, Xeryon’s piezo motors provide higher performance in terms of speed, resolution, and reliability. Xeryon’s systems feature zero backlash, do not require power to hold position, and are available in vacuum-compatible versions, making them ideal for demanding OEM integrations.
