Slim linear actuators

Xeryon's XLA is a compact, very slim linear actuator designed for easy integration in applications where high precision and speed is required but space is limited.

The product's slim design (less than 6 mm wide for our smallest model) also allows for 'stacking' multiple actuators in a line or array, commonly seen in high-precision applications like semiconductor pick & place and liquid dispensing systems.

Other common applications include medical devices and precision instrumentation.

Our XLA micro actuators are developed with integrability in mind. In addition to its thin, lightweight design, these slim linear actuators have several other strengths that make them ideally suited for highly precise applications where space is limited.

Basic specifications

  • Dimensions: Starting at 22,7 x 14,8 x 5,4 mm.
  • Weight: Starting at 5,5 grams.
  • Driving forces: 1N, 3N, 5N and 10N.
  • Encoder resolution: Closed loop, 50 µm, 10 µm, 1,25 µm, 312 nm and 78 nm.
  • Stroke / travel range: 5 mm up to 300 mm.
  • Speeds up to 400 mm/s in closed loop, and up to 1000 mm/s in open loop.
  • Lifetime: >1000 kilometers or 20 million cycles

  • Power consumption of less than 5 Watts and a safe operating voltage (<48V) further enhance their applicability.
